Charity event 2013
Football, fancy dress and fundraising were the order of the day when we came together to raise more than £1,500 for the Derbyshire Air Ambulance and the Danny Porter Foundation at our 2013 tournament.
More than 25 club members took part in the summer event - in fancy dress as always, this time on the theme of 'sports other than football'. Friends and family turned out to cheer the teams on and a cake sale and raffle were also held. The total was given a huge boost thanks to the generosity of local companies. Henry Boot PLC donated £100 in sponsorship money to support the event, while Rotherham-based a-print provided a hugely popular selection of exclusive team wear - with all profits going straight into the charity pot.
The impressive total of just over £1,500 means we have maintained our notable record of beating our own fundraising record every year since the event began.
